Folks, I'm about to get REALLY nerdy over the new Destiny DLC in this one while doing my best not to drop crazy story spoilers. Also note: I bought a PS4 pretty much for this game so... yeah. I'll try not to be but I might be a bit biased.
You Have Been Warned.
After the inevitable bumpy launch, I finally got my grubby paws on some Rise of Iron playtime. = )
I like new the public space. Felwinter Peak is small but it looks better than The Rift. There's more there without it feeling crowded. Plus, the wolves just hanging around are a really nice touch. The built-in puzzles are a slightly-annoying-yet-welcome change from just having a giant beach ball to kick around in the Tower.
For the short amount of time I've played it (Gotta' work and sleep sometime, right?), I can say the story missions are right at that level where they're not a complete breeze to run through but they're not controller tossing-ly difficult, either. You'll be good if you played through the rest of the game before hitting the new stuff up. A nice change from The Taken King which, after going through it again, tosses in swift kick every so often if you're not up on your game skills.
Since it's 4am as I write this, I'm going to grab some non-taco grub and maybe pop in for a minute before crashing out. Next strip marks the beginning of that larger story bit I've been threatening... er, "Holding off on".
Yes... that's the ticket.
'Till next time! = )
