The Bears Bros are Back! >.<

Time for a little break from Biff and his crew to see what the Bear Bros are doing.

Also, a chance for me to improve on their living conditions a bit. = )

See... one of the things I love to do is the basic of basic backgrounds when I do the strip. This little buffer I have right now gives me a chance to rectify the sin of not really doing establishing shots or exteriors or flat out not drawing the houses where some of these folks live. In the case of the Bros, I got to look into colonial Cape Cod designs.

Colonial Cape Cods are very simple houses. Very straightforward in their looks. Simple elements that got a little fancier as time wore on but never so much that you'd mistake them for something like an old Victorian. Simple brickwork once that started becoming a thing. Simple dormers when you needed that extra bit of space on the second floor. The closer you get to the present, the more you see little touches of other styles coming in but never so much that they overpowered the idea of a small straightforward house with a central fireplace for heat and cooking.

It's very much something you would've seen in Connecticut when Ted, their unfortunate ghost friend, would've had on at Camp Bear back when he was still alive. = )

All that said.. the only downside is I didn't get to draw the whole house and you only get a small chunk. It wasn't Really needed but I've been wanting to show that Bros are not just living out of their van, in a quickie cinder block shed or in the ruins of the old buildings on site. They're kinda' stuck there but they're not roughing it.

'Till next time! = )
