Yeah... I couldn't resist. = P

SO! Here's something I don't do all that often - Proper Action!

This particular strip was written to be action-y. Despite my love of Horror, I don't really "Do" horror (as you can see by simply going through the Crypt). That's not the case with Action, though.

I love myself a good action comic. There's a number of solid artists working today that I'll look at their work, sit back and say "Man... I wish I could do that.". Then I'll kick back and enjoy drawing some goofy side shot with the characters doing some fun banter. It is rare that I'm sitting down during the writing stage of things and say "Hey! I Can do that!".

Like the big piece with The Cryptid, I was in that mood to draw something high energy at Just the right time. = )

If you drop by the Patreon, you'll see how I mentioned that what you see in the Final isn't the try. That one was drawn side-on like I'd normally draw the strip. It had some impact but it didn't Feel like it had the impact. It fell flat. After a lot of fuss and some physical and digital models set up for reference, I got to what you see in the strip.

Now I'm off to stretch, eat and continue playing catch-up on the Drawlloween pics. I did the proper thing and focused on getting this done instead of doing something like blowing my deadline on this. It gave me the chance to not only get this strip to where I like it but also spend some time thinking about the Drawlloween entries I'm working on right now. = )

Remember: Stay Safe. Wear a Mask if you need to. Get vaccinated if you can. Get a booster if you're already good on all that. And remember to keep your head up.

'Till next time! = )
