With a little luck and a few clear days, I've somehow managed to Ever So Slightly ahead on things. By "Things", I mean that I'm presently inking the next strip. = )
I always get a little hopeful and a little scared wen it comes to times like this. I love working ahead and having things ready to go. I was raised with that "Work First. Play Later." mentality. Sometimes, it sticks and I actually get said work done before I goof off!
The past couple of weeks have been cool and dry enough to work. With the weather being... Unstable... and my working on paper, it's hard to commit to the bit when I'm sweating over puffy paper that's pulling all the excess moisture from the house into it and trying not to put a hole through a number of pages thanks to my heavy handedness. The thing that sucks worse than not being able to work when you want/need to is watching it all go away 'cause you ripped through a page or smudged the inks beyond fixing and have to start again. It's the bane of a physical setup that was built for a time when I'd be able to easily take it to an air conditioned location.
Anyhoo! I've been spending my off-time running the Solstice event in Destiny 2. It's different from the last few years but it's fun. Between the Grind and the Solar-focused modifiers the event brought, I'm getting the chance to power level in the least boring way. It's amazing how much "Put a Timer on it" can motivate a person... says the guy who's entire career is essentially "Can I get this drawn, inked and posted by my own arbitrary deadline". = P
I'm off to stretch and Maybe get some laundry done. Also that whole Eating Food thing that I hear is all the rage these days. I've got a box of Monster Cereal that needs eating before the weather decides to make everything go all soggy and/or stale.
Remember: Stay Safe. Wear a Mask if you need to. Get vaccinated if you can. Get a booster if you're already good on all that. And remember to keep your head up.
'Till next time! = )
