Videos and Games...? o.O

Email Me Biff on Twitter -
Besides the usual Post-Thanksgiving shopping and whatnot getting in the way of stuff, I did get on something I've been meaning to get to for a while now. I'm getting some things figured out so I can broadcast my digital art process. Before, this just meant me sparking a stream with my screen 'cause I was doing mouse-based stuff in Fireworks or Illustrator on the system I use to broadcast from anyway. Now that I have not one but Three bits of tech I can physically draw on, things have changed. So what happens now?

Well... I found a different way to roll. = )

My Touchscreen Laptop - MogNet Touch - is a fine machine. Runs like a champ but it's an older model and can't handle booth the screencasting software and the art stuff at the same time. I tested a workaround with simply filming it like I do my traditional stuff. Sure enough, it worked! I didn't think it'd show up well with my setup but it did. I'd link to the video but the stream quality was trash so I killed it. That fix is easy... record locally while I go and replace if needed.

So what of the other two devices? Although I can stream from my Nvidia Shield Tablet - MogNet Tab - natively, I can't do that comfortably from desk. It's a powerful machine but my 'Net Connection is notoriously spotty (hence the trash feed mentioned earlier). Despite my best efforts, I still can't broadcast from my phone. Instead, I found a program that will let me successfully mirror my screens to my system while tethered via USB. I can sit comfortably at my Art Desk next to my usual setup without worrying about dropped signals, dead connections or my batteries draining faster from having more than just SketchBook open.

Hopefully, I can do that stuff later. If I can, I'll post a link here. = )

This all leads to the second thing in the title: Games. With Sparrow Racing League returning to Destiny soon and my having a PS4 which can stream to Twitch, I have the real option to spark gaming streams doing something Far more exciting than me blowing off steam in Missions and Patrols for an hour. This is something I'd like to try. When I can, I'll probably pop up a notice somewhere for when I'll start. If folks want, I will totally go head-to-head with them. No extra prizes if you win, though. Just the satisfaction that you beat me live that might live on on my channel's archive if the quality doesn't get all wonky.

Now to stretch, eat and get back to it. I Really want to finish rescanning those Drawlloween pics and get that done before Saturday. It's already been a month and I'd love to mark that off my To-Do list before Christmas.

'Till next time! = )
