Those who have been following me on Twitter know that I've been keeping busy as of late with outside projects. You know the kind: the ones that help pay bills and buy stuff.
I have been thinking recently about what I need as far as new equipment goes. I have a decent PC, a great printer and plenty of supplies. So far, all signs point to a new laptop of some ilk. With HP being the only computer maker with a sub-$1000 Tablet PC of note, I'm thinking of saving up for that. Though I'm sure someone out there is probably wondering why I don't just pick up a Cintiq 12WX. I actually need the laptop part more than just the nifty touchscreen.
Those who I have spoken to know I've trash when it comes to a regular tablet. Try as I might (many years, actually), I can't wrap my mind around the disconnect between hand and image. My old-fashioned self needs to see the marks under my hand or else things go painfully slow and are greatly diminished in quality. All the digital stuff you have seen from me has been done with a mouse. One two or three pics have ever been touched by me with a tablet.
So that's my goal. I'm saving up almost all the cash I'm getting and putting it toward a Tablet PC. If you folks have any suggestions for a cheaper touchscreen available, I'm all ears. = )
'Till next time!
